hello, lately i’ve been having the worst health anxiety i’ve ever had and it’s starting to affect how i live my everyday life. i live at home right now for the summer and i constantly feel chest pressure, which is likely anxiety but i immediately start worrying that maybe i have covid. i do everything to keep myself safe (mask, sanitize, distance) but the folks i’m living with at home have stopped doing so even though i’ve asked them to please continue because it’s not over. i’m very worried all the time and i’m struggling right now with a possible illness (unsure if it’s anxiety or not). any tips for telling the difference between intense anxiety and actually being sick?

Hey love! I feel this and I've been through it too. As for now I say keep monitoring your symtoms and take some tests if you can. If it doesn't progress you are probably okay and I think it's unlikely but if you do have Covid we have treatments that are very effective. It is very scary and everyone should still be very careful but either way you will be okay. As for your living situation maybe talk about how your covid anxiety effects you and that wearing a mask would help. A lot of people are hearing a lot of misinformation about covid they might not be open to facts but maybe they'd be open to wearing one because they care about you. If you have the finatial means an Heppa air filter will definatly help if not AC fans and open windows do too air flow and filtration is an underated but helpful tool for preventing covid from spreading. You could also get a P100 it's like straping an air filter to your face. Some of them look scary but I found one I like and I really think it keeps me safe it filters 99.8% of particles.

@Okay...Zero thank you, i appreciate that <3 i unfortunately have asked them to wear one and explained why and they have ignored my concerns. now they’re all coughing and one is sick, so anxiety is through the roof as i have an important event this week that’s once in a lifetime and don’t want to miss. i’m hoping that everything is okay, and trying to ward off the anxiety in hopes that the symptoms i think i’m feeling aren’t really there.
