I am starting work soon. I cannot stand for long periods of time without severe pain in the lower back. I am wondering about a mobility aid, or any other kind of solution. What do you recommend? I do not have the financial ability to see a doctor at this time, and my primary physician retired. If I were to use a mobility aid, what protections would I have to use it in the workplace without a note? I am diagnosed with scoliosis and osteochondroma(which are the causes of this severe pain). Do I get protections? I am located in the United States.

There are various types of braces and belts to support your lower back. I believe this kind of question is more suited for your insurance company and place of work
