I wish there was a way we could be more open about our mental illness to other people . the whole hwy how are you question sucks like I have a mental illness what does that tell you about my days ?

      I prefer to ask "what made you smile today" as my greeting. If I do ask someone how they are, I ask "how are you right now" and expect a real answer...like depressed, or anxious, or whatever.

      Yeah, I've always thought it was a dumb question. Especially when people say it in passing and don't even stop, or say it monotone like a chore they are trying to get past. It's silly.

      People have good intentions when asking how you are but if they don't have anxiety/ depression they honestly don't understand what it's like to live with it everyday. They can't relate to you and I. That's one reason that I love Thai platform because you can talk to people who DO understand and who get what you are feeling everyday.
