Just prescribed Trazodone and am concerned about side effects, 50mg 2x a day, I'm thinking of starting with 25mg. What's your experience with the medicine?

I've been taking it for 10 years. Never had any side affects.

I mean, other than the *intensed* effect of drowsiness

I've had no noticable side affects for it and I've been taking 50mg before bed for 2 years as a sleep aid. One of the few meds in my list that hasn't had any noticeable side affects, really

I've been on Trazadon for at least 10 years and I take 200mg a night for insomnia. When u take it don't be doing anything like operating a car or signing documents. Cause while it's in affect u can do things u don't realize ur doing.

i take 50 or 100 mg for sleep. it isn’t super strong like a narcotic but it helps a little bit.

i just started it for my sleeping problems associated with ADHD and the first time I took it at night I fell asleep great. But, I woke up with the worse migraine ever! I was throwing up and could not open my eyes without feel a pulsing pain in my forehead. I haven’t tried to take it since because I am afraid of it. But, has anyone else experienced this???

trazodone has never worked for me for some reason… but again, everyone is different! i got off that med a few months ago because it gave me very bad headaches and made my cramps so much worse. but i am also very sensitive to meds so it may have just been me. 😅

I got it prescribed for my insomnia disorder but it literally does not do anything for me. doesn’t even make me that tired. one of my migraine medications knock me out faster 😂

I take it for insomnia. It is rarely used to treat depression anymore. They are using it for insomnia. I take 300 mgs at bedtime. It works well.

I would only take it at bedtime. I've taken 100 mg at bedtime since 2012. Sometimes I supplement with melatonin.

I tried it, but it only makes me loopy and then wears off after a couple of hours. I wish it had worked as my sleep is horrible. (Of course, some of the lack of sleep could be my cat - he likes to "sing" at night.)

I used to take it for sleep and it was wonderful.

I love it! I take a 100 mg at night and it keeps me asleep. I can’t fall asleep, so I take 5 mg Ambien to put me to sleep. Works really good. I had crazy dreams at first with Trazodone, but they don’t last very long.

I take mine once at night for sleep. It knocks me out within about an hour of taking it. I'm only on 30mg right now though.
