Has anyone had any luck using Pristiq to treat anxiety/depression? I started on 50mg a few months ago at the suggestion of a genetic test administered by my doctor, mostly to help with crippling anxiety. I had mild side effects for about 2 weeks and it felt like it started to work around week 7. I felt better for a few weeks, but I've started to feel depressed and anxious again the past couple of weeks. I'm wondering if I should maybe try a higher dosage or a different medication. Or is it normal for things to get worse again due to life circumstances?

By the way, I take it twice a day and so does my spouse. The twice a day component (50mg each) was what really helped him. I started twice a day, so I couldn't tell you the difference.

I’ve only been taking Pristiq for a few weeks now. I take 100mg in the morning, but it’s making me constipated!!! Don’t know if it really works yet, but I’ll keep you posted 🙏 ❤️ 🙏 ❤️

I am just starting pristiq and my dose just got upped to 50mg. I can’t tell if it helps or not. I’m hoping though once it stops making me sick. I use it in conjunction with a as needed for anxiety as well.

It's worked for me for years (been taking since 2015). Off and on, I've had to supplement with other medications, but desvenlafaxine has been the constant.

Personally Pristiq only worked mildly for me for about a year. It never really kept me truly happy, but it kept me above from feeling suicidal, so that was an improvement. I still had bad days and good days, although the bad days were much more tolerable.
