the reason they didn’t give u antidepressants maybe be because antidepressants can cause severe mania in bipolar people, it’s exactly how my bipolar surfaced. i hope you can get a proper diagnosis and medication, im sorry and i i understand being stuck like that :( wish u the best

As someone who is bipolar, mixing meds when you don't have a definitive diagnosis can be really difficult because it can cause more problems. That may be why they didn't prescribe you anything. I am so sorry you had that experience. Did you see a general practitioner? I can't believe that they let you leave with no treatment! That is insane to me and I would've been so upset! Can you afford to get a second opinion? I wouldn't trust a doctor who met with me ONCE and started throwing around terms like bipolar.
