It took me a while to recognize what was right for me. I personally tracked my mood, every day, at least one entry. I would notice trends and finally saw the spikes turn into curves. Feeling wise it seems like things have been dimmed down a lot. It's more plain, and feels more safe. I had to up my dosage because I started to notice that the physical feeling of my mood shifting intensified. While medicated for me personally what used to be deep/ catatonic depression feels more like a wet weighted blanket that I have to carry around. What was hypomania feels like heart burn, sucking on sour candy. For me, mood stabilizer will never get me full stabilized, and I've accepted that. For me it's been about getting myself to a functional state, so obtaining therapy and life skills is more obtainable. It's taken a lot of mindfulness, self reflection, and tracking to know what semi works for me, but it's doable. Everyone is different, you just need to listen to yourself. I wish you the best of luckš
