Hi, I’m brand new to this app. I’ve struggled with anxiety and panic attacks for as long as I can remember, but lately I’ve struggled with something brand new - severe depression. I’m either perfectly fine for a bit, or so down and upset that I just feel hopeless. Any tips on overcoming this? It’s becoming a burden in my social life, and work life.

      Its not about overcoming it. Its more about managing it. Like for example its not about overcoming depression , its just getting out bed bc hanging out with my friends today would make me a little happier.

      therapy really helped me with my depression. we found things that I can do when I start to see myself getting sad (like grounding, taking some deep breaths, or just removing myself for a little bit). We also came up with some things I can do to start the day on a high note ( like listening to happy music, I like the Beatles, and dressing up nice for the day).

      I’ve been struggling with panic attacks and depression a lot recently too. Recently, I made a “crisis kit” to bring to work with me with pinch me therapy dough, my as needed medication, mints, and essential oils for if I feel a panic attack coming on

      You don't overcome it. Meds do. A lot of meds. Sorry.
