I just started talking to this dude who “has” POTS. I talk about my experiences and he doesn’t understand compared to other people with POTS. I’m pretty sure dude doesn’t have POTS. Do I call him out? He has a Apple Watch and a few times I snooped at his heart rate, dude does not have the main symptom of POTS.

What symptoms does he say he has? When I was trying to get a diagnosis it was hard. I had so many random symptoms that are a mixture of other issues. I didn’t even know I had POTS until someone I knew referred me to a specialist.

I mean, would it help the situation/anyone to call him out? If not, maybe pick your battles elsewhere—“calling out” seems unnecessary, but perhaps if you have helpful information to offer him about what his symptoms are more likely to be, that would be less confrontational if you absolutely have to say something. If he’s not harming anyone I would just leave it alone. And it’s definitely not cool to snoop at his heart rate to try and catch him in a lie. Best of luck with the situation
