The “bees in my head” quiet down a bit when my meds have kicked in. Or like I had 20 internet tabs open but now only 3 or 5. I feel like I can take my time with things and can be more mindful overall.

for me, i vividly remember the first day i took my ritalin, i cried because of how happy i was. i was so happy because, for the first time in my life, my mind felt at peace. i felt calm. my thoughts weren’t moving at a million miles a minute, i could remember things more easily, and i wasn’t so quick to dwell on my usual ruminations or get distracted by something else. ritalin has helped me feel mentally present.

I could tell bc I was able to initiate tasks/my executive functioning was a lot better
Mind went silent.
I could tell lime was working because I was never hungry (and not eating the way I was used to) but still managed to do everything I needed to do during the day!
It is different for everyone, but I could tell mine was working because I am more relaxed.
