hello, I just got the app! my nickname is waluigi I don't feel comfortable sharing my real name. I've had BED for as long as I can remember from when I was 5 and my grandma feeding me McDonald's everyday to now. despite my condition I'm actually. very pick on what I eat, but of the things I do eat I eat alot of it. I was wondering how do you cope with BED? I've tried many medications for 2 years now but nothing seems to be working right for me, maybe it's something I'm doing that doesn't involve medication? I've been struggling alot in life in general as of recent so maybe I need better life choices. I also struggle with ADHD, BPD, depression, and anxiety. I'm a mess lol. have a good day!

Hello! I also just got the app and I relate to having it for a long time. At around age 7 my mom started to force me on diets and when I went to my dads I would eat everything in sight, and when I moved in with my dad it became daily. It takes a lot of balance to manage binge eating, because any time I get upset I look right at the pantry. I've never tried medication yet but it doesn't always have to be related to meds, sometimes you have to sort out what emotions make you want to binge and you have to stop and think, which takes a lot of practice, and im not that great at it.

Hi! I also have BED, BPD, ADHD, depression and anxiety! We are very alike. We should be friends lol. I’ve recently started Vyvanse to treat my ADHD as well as BED. I am also on sertraline. I think it’s a good combo! I went from binging several times a week to maybe once a week. Sometimes not even that! I hope you find what works best! 💗💗💗

Hey! I just joined too haha! And I’m also currently struggling with BED too and one thing that’s helped me personally is downloading the “I am Sober” app and marking when I binge and sometimes when I feel a binge coming I look on the app and look at my progress and see how long I haven’t binged for. I don’t know if this will be beneficial to you but it’s one of the things that helps me sometimes

Hey! Welcome to Alike! I also have just joined! For me personally when I get cravings or something I try listening to loud music to basically drown out my thoughts! I've been binging for a long time as well and I understand the being picky as I deal with it as well! It's hard to deal with, but I wish you well on your journey here ❤️
