At what point in a new friendship or relationship do I tell someone I have severe mental health issues like Bipolar and BPD?

Personally, I would tell them sooner than later. I wouldn't lead with it but kind of put it out there.

Personally, I divulge pretty early in a relationship. It feels like I'm leading them on otherwise. Bipolar is a pretty serious mental health condition that can be hard to live with, no point in continuing the relationship if they can't handle it. As for friendships? It's by feel. Whenever you feel is the right time.

@Neuco I’m just honestly scared to tell this person that I like because I don’t want to scare them off. I did tell them that I need to tell them something but I’m scared to actually say it.

@Olivia18 Better to tell them now than wait even longer and have a problem, you know? Plus, honesty and open communication is always the best policy. And you deserve someone who will be supportive and understanding of your mental health
