I have RA/JIA and insomnia and I have big trouble with falling asleep, does anyone with any type of chronic pain condition have any advice for falling asleep? I take melatonin and CBD and occasionally benadryl or cold and flu, but it doesn't seem to help enough.

I was just wondering how this affects your mate and how do you cope with it.

I see, I’m going to have to try it. Are you in a relationship?

      What is white noise?

If it’s not too hot out I usually go to bed with a hot water bottle or something like that. I have artritis and heat helps a lot. If cold helps you more, make sure to wrap a jelly ice pack with a cloth. As others have said, white noise and other relaxation techniques are also very helpful. If you haven’t tried asmr you should. Try to find what you find most relaxing and listen to it before bed. I hope this helps!

I put on white noise, or just stay awake until I’m tired out

I would say light stretching, try to make the room as dark as possible, light meditation, sex if you have a mate or self pleasureing. I have tried these and sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. I try to stick with the natural way if possible. Sometimes is not possible.
