He keeps the painkiller that I take at his place as well. Also when I'm having a migraine attack he immediately dims the light and makes me a sweet cup of tea.

He already knows what pill he should give me when I'm having an episode. Also he knows that I need quiet time and therefore often takes our kid out for a walk:)

Iā€™d prepare something beforehand because itā€™s definitely really hard for me to think & talk during a migraine and I have much less patience when Iā€™m in pain like that so I tend to get snappy when I donā€™t mean too.

He accepts me as I am, with or without the migraines. And he doesn't let me feel bad when we need to cancel our plans when I'm feeling bad, he just says it's a good reminder to rest :)

My partner has Ibuprofen at home ready for me whenever I get an attack

My partner knows that I need to lay down on my bed in a very dark and quiet room. A real migraine attack, changes all our plansā€¦ Even if we have tickets to the best show, we cancel.. His acceptance helps me a lot! Mor than drugsā€¦

My partner knows where I keep my meds, what combination of meds I need to take (he says ā€œone white, two blue, one yellowā€). He also knows that peppermint essential oils feel good on the back of my neck (and knows where I keep them to help me if I need it). He offers to turn lights out and keep noise level down, also.
