How do I get a diagnosis of hEDS? my rheumatologist diagnosed me with hypermobility spectrum disorder and referred for genetic testing. but ive seen that there is no gene known to identify hEDS. how is a definitive dx given? im so confused!

Theres a set of very specific clinical criteria needed for hEDS, if you look up hEDS criteria from 2017 you can easily find the set of conditions need to be diagnosed, it's really clear and easy to understand too so you can pretty much go to the geneticist knowing if you will get the diagnosis or not. Good luck!
