What do people think my chances of having pots are these are the symptoms of pots that I get 1. Dizziness when standing (not all the time but happened 12 times in one day a few days ago ) 2. Headaches (not all the time but when I get them they are pretty bad ) 3. Sleeping problems 4. Bad brain fog 5. Heart palpitations (normally after I have a fizzy drink with caffeine in ) 6. Fatigue (Badly lately ) 7. Red legs upon starting (sometimes) 8. Fainted around 6 times or so in my life (first time when I was three, fell down the stairs as I was at the top of them and let go of the baby gate, when I blacked out ) 9. Shortness of breath (have asthma though) 10. Abdominal Pain (around ovulation time ) If I do have pots are there any limitations on things I can do I.e drive. Jobs etc ? How many people with pots have a service dog? (Has anyone trained their own in the U.K?) Any other information would be really appreciated

Hmm, it sounds possible and definitely worth seeing a doctor about. Each person with POTS is different. Some can’t drive, walk, go to school, hold a job, write, or exercise and some can do all of the above. It really depends more on their personal limitations and not the diagnosis. I don’t think there are statistics on POTS and guide dogs, but if POTS is constantly very severe a physician may reccomend a service animal. To have a registered service animal in the UK you must work with an ADUK partner. Only two (Dog AID and Support Dogs) support training your own service dog. So yes, you can, but it’s definitely tough to do and not all dogs are capable to be service dogs. I hope this helps :).

Sounds like POTS is a possibility. Have you ever measured your HR standing up and compared it to your HR lying down?

@Mouse12144 I have POTS and have many of the same symptoms. What do your doctors think it is?
