      I would say don’t let it become your identity! Figure out the treatments that work for you and then do your best to forget about it. It sucks to have a chronic condition, but it sucks more to think about it all the time. Manage your stress to maintain your mental health and prevent flares.

      I agree with zincsulfate. If you don't feel completely comfortable, fire the doctor. They aren't the only ones out there. The pool is filled with them.

      find a specialist you actually like and vibe with. i wasted so much time with someone who made me cry every visit and never explained anything to me. every case is different and your body will react differently so having someone who is able to explain what’s happening to you and be gentle is so helpful. also find medication that helps you live your life but don’t feel like that’s your only outlet, medications are just one tool for us to use. we can talk more if you like! 💕
