I was just diagnosed with pridiabeties. I'm having a hard time putting a meal plan together. any suggestions would be most helpful. 3 months ago I quit smoking and crave sweets badly. I'm sure those chocolate cream pies put me over the top so no more of that.

    I was also pre-diabetic. I found that if you cold Turkey off of sweets you lose your need for sugary things. I still allow myself fruits and once in a while something that is not healthy. I am no longer Prediabetic in less then two months because of the fact that I eliminated most sugar. It was very hard but after the first month my cravings where all but gone. I did go back to eating sugar more often and I feel so sluggish. Not worth it! I am once again having to be weaned off of sugar. I know I’ll feel better. It’s very hard. I take it one day at a time. I also try to be kind to myself when I fail at this. You can do it! I will pray that you will have success!!! God bless you!

    Any carbohydrates you eat it turns into sugar in your body, try avoiding them and you will see the difference and you will feel so much better.

    There are sweets put out by Atkins, like peanut butter cups. Also hard candy made with sorbitol
