Beating Depression with High Functioning Autism

hey there i think you already made a great step in joining this app! you’ll find lots of support here. i personally don’t recommend laying in a dark room ^^ (light sometimes plays a role in our mental health). i don’t want to sound condescending, but it’s interesting you describe yourself as “high functioning”. i wanna give my two cents, labeling ppl on the spectrum based on how “severe” their symptoms are can be harmful. i think those are labels created by neurotypical ppl to categorize autistic ppl, which only creates more misinformation about autism and the various symptoms we experience. just some food for thought

Hey Cassidy nice to meet u I know alot of people with autism but depression can be hard for everyone try talking to some one writing in a dairy or laying in a dark room with no lights on try listening to your favorite music talk to a school counselor or one of your parents to help you depression is hard I get it but never ever ever try to end ur life for nothing it's not worth it go to the movies with friends be happy with ur life u r in cause life is to short for some people study up on depression and anxiety disorder and autism to nice meet u am Crystal
