yeah i think this is pretty common, i used to do that a lot, i believe its called maladaptive daydreaming, i suggest you look it up if you haven't yet!

I do it all the time, I'm constantly in my own world
I’m actually in the process of trying to be more present again. At one point, I realized I didn’t have any energy for the people around me. I didn’t feel connected to them, so I daydreamed to make up for my own loneliness, and it snowballed. It doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing for you! But remember moderation is key!! I don’t really have a right to give advice since I’m in the same boat 😂🚣♀️
