Should I Try Cannabis?

Had anybody taken Cannibis while taking prescription painkillers(Hydrocodone) or anxiety medication (Xanax) to help better? I've read and was told it was both okay and not okay! Drs in my state can't give their opinion as it's still illegal? Has anyone been told by a Dr or taken it to help them! This is without THC! Thank you
