I'm experiencing a high amount of loss in my family. My medications are fine, but what mental exercises can I do to climb out of this depression?

I lost both my parents at a young age. I asked my parents' friends to send me any pics they had of them and then whenever I would get sad I would redirect it to a happy memory. I associate their "death day" with a hobby we would do together. For my dad it's pizza and tulips. For my mom its Adam Sandler movies. Find things you can associate with them and do those thing either by yourself or with your friends. It helps with the coping. :)
