is anyone else with pcos/other hormone based intersex conditionss, that are also Trans feel scared to seek out doctors when the biggest treatment they recommend is hormone therapy, but the /opposite/ hormone you want(your agab hormone p much), the main treatment for pcos is estrogen supplements, but im a transmasc person that for one, enjoys some of the symptoms of my pcos like facial hair and for me personally no period, qnd 2, qm hoping to start taking T some day. it doesn't help that pcos increases the likihood of uterine cancer, qnd missing my period every month increases that more. so I need some form of treatment, but I don't want anything that's going to interfere with my transition..

I'm also very concerned about this. I have a consultation in August to talk about starting testosterone and I'm really worried PCOS is going to complicate that. I've also had a lot of success with metformin and also ozempic injections for help with weight loss/blood sugar management. Weight loss can be a big deal with PCOS management, even just 5-10 pounds can make a difference. I might recommend trying to get a trans-friendly endocrinologist? They manage hormones of all kinds, so they should be able to cover the trans hormones side, PCOS hormones side, and insulin resistance/diabetes.

YES!!!!! Yes 100x yes! Personally I use Metformin to control my PCOS which actually regulates the sugar rather than using birth control (which would raise estrogen). I tried a hormone blocker but it caused me to gain a lot of weight.
