I have a friend who I suspect may have undiagnosed ASD, but I'm not sure how to tell them this. Considering the stigma around autism, it's really hard to tell someone that without them being offended. Could anyone help me here?

it depends on your friend but you may want to tell them outright. I was in a voice call with 3 autistic friends, and mentioned that I thought I might be on the spectrum. they all immediately said they thought I was too, and figured I already knew. I asked why they hadn't told me sooner! if your friend is anything like me they'll appreciate it, but you obviously know details I don't.

I am 55 and on the spectrum. I was first diagnosed in 2011. My family don't accept it. I went back and was retested. The doctor said you are still autistic. I think a lot of my family are also autistic and don't want to believe it. But it is what it is. It's helped me understand why I so socially awkward.

@Lavender7199 Thank you for the advice! I'm not sure she'd take it well, but I'll definitely make the effort.
