I'm a Type 1 diabetic and deaf but nobody decides to learn asl or even just the letters for sign they always say "Well you can talk" yeah I can but they don't realize is I don't currently pronounce words and it just hurts me to talk.

      I too am look for someone to practice asl I was born deaf both ears and not very good with asl

      People don’t really understand. Because we can’t hear the words we say, we pronounce them wrong. I try to explain, and some people do understand but a lot don’t care

      I understand same situation my family won’t learn sign they prefer me to talk to them or ect. But my dad slow learn but ASL
