I think a lot of these ideas are worth exploring, but I also feel like step 1 for you should be to download a free period tracking app. The one I use is called "Period Calendar Period Tracker" by Simple Design ltd in the app/play store. Its free. The icon for it is a pink diary with a lighter pink flower on the cover. Anyways, there are really specific symptom tracking features on this app, including physical symptoms and moods, ways to enter in notes, easy way to track other sexual activities, and other health activities like daily water consumption or other medications unrelated to your period. You can also ask it to set you a reminder to take your pill if that's something you're doing. If I understood you correctly, you said you don't have a regular cycle. Only sporadic days of random bleeding? If that's the case, when those days happen could be very useful information to give your doctor as well as other symptoms. For instance, I can mark that Im having 4/5 abdominal pain that day and 3/5 lower back pain, 4/5 acne flair up, 2/bloating, etc... All the way down a list of symptoms. The more detailed your own notes are about your health, the easier it will be for the doctor to understand what's going on with your body and advise a treatment plan. The more accurate data you can provide as a patient is like giving them more pieces to the puzzle that is your personal medical journey. I wish you the best of luck and many pain free days in your future.š
Birth control is just a band aid. Ovasitol is a natural supplement and has outperformed Metformin in studies without the negative side effects. Just another option. PCOS help groups on Instagram have been very helpful and educational for me

@izle don't let them put you birth control or metformin
@Ashboo why not? those two helped me tremendously!!
@aleboo because birth control forces your body to have cycle even if your not ovulating i also have gotten pregnant every time they put me on birth control I lost 4 babies because of this and I have been on metformin since 2012 just stopped about a month ago do to intense stomach pain vomiting and not being to eat or drink because it upset my stomach there are tons of doctors and other woman ik that won't prescribe it or take it because of the harsh side effects.
@aleboo yes I donāt know how else to manage it so thatās a weird recommendation
Maybe talk to a doctor about regulating your cycle?
Use a tracker app! iPhones have health app that has menstruation cycle built in

@izle I wish I could but I don't menstruate. I will bleed through one morning and then I could go weeks without another incident. š„
