Try to understand your adhd heightens your emotions bc of the impulsivity symptom. The best thing to do to calm down is work backwards from your intrusive thoughts and understand how you got to that point. It starts with a normal feeling so trace your anger back to its original thought that provoked the reaction. This helps bc it allows you to get a 360 few instead of the degree that is causing you pain.

Journaling helps me. Writing out all your emotions on paper or in a journal app can help you discover what's bothering you most or just to get it off your chest ❤️

Sometimes I take a little stress nap if I'm able. It's kind of like a reset on the day. If that's not an option taking a walk could help.

One suggestion is to ground yourself to reality when you start feeling the rage coming on. Taking time to focus on something else for a moment can help simmer down that rage. Additionally, consider going for a walk, taking deep breaths, or engaging in an activity you find relaxing and enjoyable. Remember to express your feelings in a safe manner and seek support from friends, family, or a mental health professional if needed.
