What are the best ways to get rid of or improve a migraine? Mine can get so bad and last hours, and I hate wasting my entire day just laying in the darkness trying to get it to go away. It also effects my job.

Hey š. My daith works great for me and I still get less migraines headaches. You can still get small ones at times but way less and more tolerable. Sorry not working for you. Try peppermint oils roll on neck and for head and temples that can help with headaches as well. I do that myself too.
A nap, Excedrin, I have a daith piercing too lol, caffeine? I've noticed sugar tends to make them worse so eating smth not sweet if ur doing that

Coffee or take excedrin fall asleep & it'll get better or take potassium
Used to get bad headaches then I got the Daith piercing at a tattoo shop that plus peppermint essential oils roll on forehead and temples and neck both help very well. šŖ Stay positive. Be yourself.

My very old school GP recommended max dose aspirin and a can of really cold full sugar coke. It helps me massively, and has no awful side effects!
@QuestionableMouse wow that's so interesting anything with sugar has always made my migraines noticeably worse

My girlfriend struggles with this as well, the only thing that helps mostly is Nurtec.
If medication doesn't help me I try to take either a really hot shower or do the polar opposite and use a headache ice cap (search it on Amazon) and take a short nap.
Honestly what may help is having different colored lights like soft lights that's what I've found helps me
What medications do you take for your migraines? Rizatriptan, sumatriptan and Botox have significantly helped mine. Also, supplements like sam-E and boswellia help as well. Excedrin is horrible and can also cause you to have more migraines.
Noise canceling earplugs like loop could help.

Some suggestions for dealing with migraines include going into a dark room, using earbuds to drown out noise or listening to soft noises or meditation podcasts, applying an ice hat, and taking over-the-counter medications like Excedrin or Advil. However, it's important to consult a doctor for personalized advice and potential prescription medications if migraines are affecting your daily life.
