I'm 22 years old and just moved out of state with my boyfriend of almost 5 years. Ive always suspected I was autistic, but my parents are pretty ablist. I'm terrified of telling them even though I don't live there or near them

Im sorry to hear this. Tbh to be told youre autistic is very scary and i denied it for a long time. The stigma is what got me. Once i learned that if people could understand adhd, they could accept autism, i decided to get a second eval for my autism. Thats when i was diagnosed. If you suspect you may have autism talk to your doctor and theyll refer you to a psych.
