last winter, toward the end of my first semester at college, the entire right side of my body went numb.( I am one of those people that will tell my partner to rush to the ER over a paper cut but he has to drag me kicking and screaming almost. ) so, I waited a while to get it checked out. when I got to the ER, they checked for a stroke and all the serious stuff then told me they were administering medicine into my IV to combat the numb feeling. well, they lied and gave me an antipsychotic that I am allergic to. so I left the er, numb and profusely vomiting and needing to sh*t every two minutes. my psychiatrist told me later that they most likely believed it was just an anxiety attack but I'm annoyed they didn't tell me the truth about my care in their facility. the numbness has fully gone away and was most likely stress related.
