How were you diagnosed? The first rheum i saw won’t believe me. I’m trying to get in with another, but I’m scared they won’t take me seriously. I am seronegative, so they think I don’t have RA. It’s super upsetting. Any tips to help get a diagnosis rolling?

I had to go to several. My first few wouldn’t believe me
I went to the ER because I couldn’t walk and the dr told me my blood work is abnormal and had to see a rheumatologist from there he diagnosed me with RA, but I’m also seronegative! He did it based on other blood work. I hope you find a dr tht helps you soon 💕
I have family members who have it and when I started showing signs I was a younger teenager, so no rheumatologist would see me. The doctor I went to actually said my only chance was a children's hospital. I went to the children's hospital and they said I didn't have it. When I was a little older, I went to a rheumatologist some of my family went to, and they were able to help me! Sadly, a lot of my family members with it have had similar experiences of the rheumatologist telling them nothing was wrong. Do you have any family or a way to talk to someone locally who has a rheumatologist they go to?
Thank you!! you too!!
It took years for me! Sadly a near fatal childbirth had to happen to really get that ball rolling on what was going on with me. And almost two years later I was finally sent to the right doctor! Based on blood tests and history she diagnosed me with Lupus and RA. She said it was the lupus that was at play causing all the health issues during and after childbirth! So wish I could give you better tips! My greatest advise is to just keep looking for the right fit! Don’t let any person or doctor dismiss your pain and suffering! Wish you the best luck on your journey! 💕
