Why is it that doctors can run as late as they want and we as patients just need to deal with it and if we are 10 min late they cancel our appointments?!?? We are completely at their mercy of when they decide to see us or not see us. Between the heavy fog making the drive take longer and getting lost as it is a new doctor in a huge confusing hospital I was 12 min late and told they have a 10 min late policy and to reschedule. And reception was rude about it. Like annoyed I got lost in the hospital. What was I supposed to do? Go get lost in the hospital yesterday so I knew where to go today?

I know right. I started setting my appointment time in my calendar 15 minutes earlier then the actual appointment to allow more time for traffic, find the office ,etc. it’s crazy I get there on time only to end up waiting over an hour. I understand sometimes doctors run late, patients take longer then expected but this seems to be a systematic over scheduling issue. How many patients can we cram in one day to make more money. Not all doctors are like this I have good ones but I can tell they are overworked and exhausted

This is so true! Literally just Tuesday my husbands doctor was an hour and 45 minutes late!! We had so many things to do that day and it was ruined by this doctor who overbooked himself. I understand shit happens, but if they can fine us late fees, we should be offered compensation for the doctors being late as well.

If my doctor is late I tell them politely that it is not okay with me.
