I always feel bad when I’m in a bad mood. Like when my depression or anxiety gets the best of me I just can’t get cheered up even when people try hard to make me happy. All I can do is focus on the bad and then I feel worse because I feel like I’m ruining somebody else’s day. Does anyone out there get this?

      This is completely normal and you are not bad at all for this. All this means is that you need to process what you’re feeling. Sometimes we need to sit in it and the support we actually need is people sitting in that space with us and just letting us BE. We weren’t put here to be sparkly rainbows of convenience for others. Sometimes we just need support more than we need to “feel better” so we don’t “ruin other people’s day”. Easier said than done, I know, believe me, but give yourself permission to put your feelings first.
