For me yes, it has but getting proper treatment (not just meds) but diet, exercise , holistic medication, regular sleep, proper self care, stress management, therapy of different kinds(DBT, Group, emdr, psychotherapy etc) also there is treatment called TMS, non invasive bone medication treatments, my doctor even does ketamine (controversial) also don’t forget spirituality ❤️I have found that treatment includes a lot of these things, it’s a whole lifestyle. I still have ups and downs and I have backslid in a lot of these things in my life, but I have to get my health back (psychical) and I know in turn it will improve my mental health.

for me it’s been the opposite. when i was 11 i started getting severe symptoms, which resulted in me attempting to end my life about 8 times between 11-16. i would cry myself to sleep at night, afraid that there is no way out or way to ease the pain. now, i’m 21, and i haven’t attempted in years. bipolar is absolutely ROUGH, don’t get me wrong, but finding medications that work with you, along with therapy and growing within yourself, works wonders. the suicide rate among bipolar individuals decreases exponentially when treated properly. don’t lose hope. if you aren’t on medication, i recommend taking a lot of vitamins as bipolar individuals are oddly deficient in certain categories. vitamins can help your brain function more properly and get you in a better headspace. all B vitamins (especially b6 and b12) are soooooo helpful when i’m depressed, although it has to be a large dose. granted, it won’t cure all symptoms, but it’ll likely help 10-20% (if i had to quantify).

When I was 16 it would fluctuate. But it got worse when I turned 19 into adulthood. I am hoping it evens out soon. 😭

From my experience it does. I noticed it when I was about 15 and it wasn't that bad but in recent years since I've been diagnosed it seems to have gotten worse even with meds. I'm still new to it myself so I'm sorry I can't help more. I wish you the best though!
