At night, it seems my anxiety gets worse. And living alone doesn’t help. What are some ways I can overcome my anxiety/panic attacks during times I’m alone?

watch your favorite show or youtubers! the youtubers part is nice because it just sounds like people talking in the background n it’s just comforting to me (:

This was a huge problem for me and still can be pretty bad. Going to sleep earlier helps me a lot, but whenever I have to stay up at night to finish homework or whatever I light candles and keep most of my lights on. Sometimes I'll put on TV or music if it's not too much. Having stimulation during those times can be helpful so you don't dwell on unpleasant thoughts. Journaling is good and other self-care activities so that you can use the time that you might normally spend fixated on anxieties on loving yourself instead. You got this :)

I live alone as well & at night, terrible thoughts come to haunt me endlessly. Try telling yourself you're not alone & maybe try texting a few friends a lil before bed. Anything that can distract your mind or help you forget you're alone can help. Whether it's watching your fav show, movie, reading a book, exercise etc...all that may help! Tell yourself you won't be alone forever & that you're working on improving yourself & any issues you may have. That way you can rest assured knowing that your problems are being worked on & will get better. Hope this helps a little💙

Hi, I don't live alone but my husband works a lot so I am alone alot. I never minded being alone until I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm a few years ago. Now I hate being alone. Im almost 60 and feel like such a lonely person. My good friends have moved out of state and while we still talk everyday, I miss them. I am blind in my right eye from the aneurysm so I don't drive anymore. I fell a few days ago and broke my arm in 2 places. Feeling especially down these last few days
