For me I have noise canceling earmuffs that I will wear my earbuds under, I have special lights I turn on and I like to play with children's sensory bins when everything's a mess

Talk therapy, music and artistic expression help me

Honestly what has helped me is having different kinds of lights I find different colors soothing as well as having candles lit and having a coloring book or a drawing book and watching a comfort show or doing yoga or meditation or just letting myself take a day just to gather myself

I switch up the point of view I'm looking at. Like if I feel stressed I'll imagine the point of view of a pen next to me. The pen doesn't rly care what I say or do. And it makes me feel more secure in social situations

Asking myself, "In ten years time, will it matter?" Also, hobbies that involve thinking as well as keeping my hands busy really help me. I play and paint Warhammer and D&D and I do a lot of cooking and sewing. Music is good too, I tend to pick lively songs I can sing and dance to, get the endorphins going. Final tip is to make soon plans involving other people so you can't back out. Soon as in, in a day or few. Just focus on getting through til then, no more, then make a new plan.

For me I crochet .. keeps my hands busy and also my mind busy.. I also color a lot .. play games on my phone when I am in public (because we can't just whip out coloring books in the aisle at Walmart hahaha) (I also have coloring apps on my phone) ... I go for walks and I will journal... And I have two journals ..one is cute and fun and has manifestations and affirmations and kind quotes stickers drawings (look up brain dump journal) and then I have one I write all the painful stuff and the reason I do this is so I can go to my "good" journal to get a pick me up and I never have to go through all the hurtful entries to get to the good ones to reread and help me adjust my thinking
