Dealing with a Misdiagnosis and Healthcare Struggles

I highly recommend the book “the lady’s handbook for her mysterious illness” it’s a silly title and more of a memoir than a handbook but there is much solidarity and information about not being believed by medical professionals, especially as a femme person

And I'm sorry to hear that's something you're having to deal with. Very frustrating when doctors don't believe your history. When I moved to a new area back in like 2018, I got this primary care doctor asked if I still had Crohn's...I couldn't tell if she was joking, so I said "always and forever" and she just stared at me. I had to fight her on approving a a vaccine that my GI doctor said I should get so that I wasn't at more risk with my flare and current medicine I was on. She just didn't think it was likely I could get the illness and waist of time, so I had to really argue my case. I switched doctor's after that visit.

Sounds like you may want to consider switching doctors. It's really helpful to have a doctor who will fight for you when your insurance is being difficult.
