Why has my doctor diagnosed me with OCD but not put me on any medications?

Mine did that too, it's because there aren't medications that target ocd, only ocd symptoms. So you're probably already taking one. Like an anti anxietu

As a person with ocd, I never went on medication for it, but never really questioned it either. For me I found out that it was finding what kept me comfortable and well, calm. Aka, coping methods. Though mine might be not as severe as yours, if it is severe. But if anything, consider talking with her, and working out a plan to help cope with your ocd. I also recommend doing a gene test (to see what types of medications work, semi work, and do not work with you/your genes.) , seeing if your insurance will cover it. Without the coverage it usually costs at least $300.

Do you want to be on medication?

@Emmy8 I’m on other medications so it wouldn’t be a problem, but she never recommended anything for OCD. I’ve been too afraid to talk to her about it

@Ariesangel ik it's easier said than done, but don't be!! if you're worried about it, or your current meds aren't catching other symptoms, tell her. ask her what might help with the ocd, and interact well with your current meds.
