@jay315 That's how I've had to think just to survive. I love thinking of it this way, and pausing to really look and appreciate even the way the light filters through the leaves or the warmth of my mug or the way the stars align into constellations or how my breath fogs in the chilly air. Sometimes you just gotta revel in the little things because the big things just aren't there. All of heaven in a wildflower indeed.

For me i just start thinking of the little thnings that make me happy, the sun shining through the window, the way the trees move, simple things many of us take for granted

You don't have to be grateful towards anything if that's not what's right for you. Gratitude should come from a genuine place. But if you think that is what is right for you, concentrate of something and meditate on what you would do without it and whether or not you'd miss it if it were gone. Meditate on the gratitude you experience from having that thing.
