Aciphex has been the best for me. But I’m wondering if it’s been the cause of my anxiety and dry eyes/mouth. So u might be trading one issue for another.
The best treatment I’ve found is to quit PPIs. Talk to your doctor about this, but if you take antacids as needed, (Gaviscon works best because it temporarily coats the stomach so it’s not bombarded when you have a lot of acid), and maintain a healthy diet with EXERCISE (this is the key to fighting inflammation), it can work. It requires a lot of intentionality in what you eat (avoid trigger foods for a few months and eventually you’ll be able to eat them in moderation) and you will have a small period of acid rebound where the symptoms are worse (wean of the PPIs, don’t suddenly stop them). For me being off PPIs was liberating
Gaia, licorice, marshmallow root, papaya, aloe Vera, slipper elm, catnip (herb), lemon balm, depending on days ginger and mint (nausea sometimes I combine this with chamomile and lavender) and tumeric. for days when it’s not too bad chamomile and lavender and milk. Supplements is inulin, digestive enzymes and probiotics but I guess like the herbs above are also supplements lol

Is there other medication for GERD. I wanted to find a way to stop taking lansoprazole. Side effects are horrible.
