It was just an example of an easy cheap meal. You can use just 2 cans of black beans and just diced tomatoes or no tomatoes depending on your sensitivity.

A super easy recipe I use is 1 can each black beans, chili beans, corn, and diced tomatoes with green chilis. Dump it all in a pot (including juices) and let heat up. Eat as soup or drain and used on tortilla, as a topping for rice etc. It's pretty cheap this way but you could really stretch it if you got the ingredients uncooked. I'm just too lazy for that lol.

There are some good ideas on YouTube. There is a channel called see mindy mom and she has a lot of budget meal challenges. Things like rice, beans, oats, etc can all go a long way, especially if you get them uncooked.

Yes! I get chicken from aldis and itā€™s super cheap there . I also load up on veggies, sweet potatoes. Cous cous is healthier than rice and itā€™s so cheap . I always do protein with veggies and cous cous or arugula . Itā€™s cheaper than eating out and healthier !!

I think it depends on what healthy means for you and what's cheap in your area. I'll give my example. So I have gastropareis so I can't eta many raw veggies but I can eat a few beans. My list looks like this. Eggs (I have chickens) Flour and such for homemade bread and muffins Fruit that's on sale Coconut milk Rice Beans (dried cheapest) Frozen veggies, I also have a garden Potatoes white or sweet (ultimate cheap food) Various produce on sale like avocado or peppers. I do better with cooked things Crackers Tolerable cheese So my day might look like this: Eggs and homemade bread with a couple berries Smoothie late snack Luck late snack cheese and crackers Dinner veggies and rice: few beans, mushrooms, pepper, onion Oh I'm also a vegetarian so you could always add meat as you like
