So I got my first set of botox July 5th. I was doing fine but it’s been a few days now since I’ve had migraines again and it feels terrible ….. I was really hoping botox would work for me…. Any experiences guys? Please share.
For me it took a few rounds of Botox before it started really working. It’s helped me a lot since then though. I hope you are able to find something that works for you!
I’m actually not taking any other preventative medicines. Any that helped the migraines ended up giving me other side effects so I had to stop. I take naproxen and sometimes use a Nerivio device for acute treatment.
My neuro told me after two to three weeks after the first injections, only 25% of people will have results. Most people need about three treatments to have relief. I recently had my second injections. They also did nerve blockers this time. I take topamax daily, 50 MG twice a day and that helps tremendously. I still occasionally take sumatriptan as an emergency medication, but not as often.
