I need advice on how to deal with my (very) explosive anger. I literally cannot control it when in triggered, and I always end up lashing out. I feel terrible afterwards but I honestly don’t know how to control it and it’s becoming worse, I would never physically harm anyone but I’m terrified of destroying my relationship with my family.

I've been super moody lately as well and agitated very easly I've been very irritable. I haven't quite figured out what to do with it though I wish I could help
I walk away and cool off in solitude until I'm no longer triggered as much as my situation allows me to. Just make sure to tell your loved ones you may need to do that prior to an episode so they know why you're leaving and don't fight it. Another thing that helps me cool down faster is actively trying to have empathy for the other person's perspective. It's hard for me, but it gets me out of my head and strong feelings enough to help navigate my situation.
There is a technique called opposite action. It comes from DBT. When you know you are around something or someone triggering, you walk away.
@MsDaisyMae I’ll definitely try this, thank you so much!! <3
