Woke up this morning and was forced to say goodbye to my 14 year oldGolden Retriever, Sam. He had died during the night most likely due to a seizure, which he had been on medicine to deal with. He had gotten worse over the years so I was expecting to one day walk downstairs to him gone but it just feels so… not real? He was alive and breathing 12 hours ago and here he was, dead. I’m sad but I’m not crying and I don’t know why.

First of all big hugs. It's never easy losing a loved one. I had the same thing happen to me a couple of times and it's never easy. It's so normal to not cry though! We can be absolutely so heartbroken that we don't shed a tear. It's hard. It really is. Let yourself take some time to accept this loss and let yourself grieve the way that feels right to you. ❤️🤗
