Have you tried Xanax? When my anxiety/panic attacks happen Xanax is the only thing that helps. Within minutes I feel amazing and calm after taking one.

What can you do that makes you feel safe physically. The fear is your body's way of trying to keep you safe. Doing the scary thing for a little bit and then immediately doing the calming safe thing can help to whittle away at it. It will get better with time but some things, like driving impact our lives too much to wait on. Does your therapist have any advice?

First I would like to apologize for your loss. Losing a loved one is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. My sister passed tragically in 2018 and I'm still having a hard time with it. Some days are better than others. I will admit that I'm still not ok and I don't think I will ever be the same. And that's ok. It takes time to heal. As far as anxiety goes, learning proper breathing techniques are very helpful in the moment. Distractions only stop the pain momentarily so I will never suggest that. Allowing yourself to feel your feelings is my best advice for you. It's a very difficult thing to endure I know. Life goes on and we have to be sure not to get left behind. I often think about my accomplishments since her passing and I know that she would be proud of me. I talk to her often, I am not religious but I am spiritual and I believe that our loved ones are beside us always. I'm sorry I don't have better advice but I hope this little bit helps. ❤️
