Premature Birth, Asthma, and Anxiety: My Story

I have asthma and a couple varieties of anxiety (generalized and social anxiety plus panic disorder). The two can definitely interact. One of the scariest experiences I’ve had was when an asthma attack sent me spiraling into a panic attack. Hyperventilating from anxiety made the asthma symptoms worse, which in turn made the anxiety worse… it was a nasty cycle and I felt so stuck. Understanding that interaction of the physical and mental effects of both conditions has been a big part of my health journey. I’m so glad I downloaded this app because it’s been wonderful to interact with other people and learn about their experiences. I really hope this app is helpful for you too! 😊
