Missing My Person: A Tale of Loneliness and Support

I dropped my husband off in detox for a “spin dry” (he’s at the tail end of weening off his MAT meds and needed 4 walls to get through the last bit of it). I am also waiting for a new job to start so I don’t have much to distract me…and I miss him horribly. I know it’s only a few days in the grand scheme of things but he’s my person (and someone like me with all my executive function issues and mental health issues etc) really struggles without their person…and I feel like a part of me is missing when we aren’t together and ESPECIALLY when we can’t even communicate. This is necessary and for the best and I support him 100% and I will be okay even if it sucks right now….but there’s a special kind of loneliness when your significant other is institutionalized. Anyway…just venting
