I started Humira in November of 2022. I was hoping to get honest opinions from anyone taking it and what their results/side effects have been. I am having a really hard time šŸ˜”

@sophia109 It is possible, but extremely rare. I am on it currently.

Does humira cause cancer ? I wanted to try it after a failed round of isotretinoin but people have said it causes cancer ? X

@sophia109 technically yes. It can kill you depending your body chemistry and environmental factors. But it kills your immune system which can leave you vulnerable to any kind of sickness/germs including cancer cells. It is different for everyone though. I took it for a while and I didn't get any sicker or anything and it was helpful.

I haven't been on Humira since probs 2017 or so. This info may be loose. I remember when I took it, it did take a couple of months for me to see a difference. For me, it worked well after those first few months. I stopped mostly bc of the shot. I eventually couldn't bring myself to do it anymore. It was helpful but it also weakened my immune system a lot. But it did lessen my HS symptoms and helped prevent really bad flares.

Hey, I just barely started it but it caused me to have a severe headache and be disoriented and "woozy". Then it also caused a flare up for me.

@Kingswife I'm still having really bad flare-ups. It doesn't seem to be working for me.

@CaGoddess If youve been on it for longer than 3 months, its time to tell your rheumatologist that you need a new medication
