Has anyone used forearm crutches?? Are they easier/more compact compared to a cane? Pls comment your experience with mobility aids <3

I have not personally, but my dad used one and definitely preferred them over canes. Although he would go through phases where he would swap out for a tall walking stick so he could spin it around and pretend to be a Jedi in public 😆

Thank you guys! Finally used a cane in public today for the first time and felt so much safer and know I made it further🥳

I love all my mobility aids and give me so much freedom. Without my wheelchair I would not be able to participate in dance.

I use both cane and forearm crutches. My EDS is not good with the arms so crutches are for medium outings. (Going to class and back to the dorm) Crutches are more unwieldy than a cane and less portable but a good in between when you don’t need a wheelchair but more than a cane.
