I feel so annoying posting on here it’s just that I literally have no friends and my depression seems to be getting bad. I don’t know how to help myself anymore.

There is also a Bible app that has plans you can go through for literally every issue you could possibly have and that has helped me a lot, as well.

@GuardedbyAngels33 this is goof advice for some people but can be very triggering to a lot of others
I'm not sure if you're a spiritual person or not, but I found that studying the Bible and using work books and getting closer to God has helped me a lot. Most of the worldly things that were dragging me down became nothing to me. I listen to Christian music and watch Christian movies and felt sooo much better. You see things so differently and feel so much more powerful with God on your side ❤️
That’s why I joined this app and it’s nice to vent knowing that there are actually people that can understand exactly what your going through
@Dezmari absolutely! This app has been an immense help!
For me it was difficult to communicate my problems, if that's the same for you, do not be shy. They're educated and there to help
That was my first step. It has helped tremendously
@peeka currently on lexapro and klonopin (think that’s how you spell it) it’s helping but I guess I’m just in a low spot
@Jaclynn I've been through so many medications. Every body is different but it took me 6 years to find the right meds, doctor, amd therapist. (I have schizoaffective disorder, this is a complicated diagnosis. Do not get dicouraged) I'm still currently looking for a therapist better then the one I have. Maybe ask your doctor "How long should it take for these medications to begin working in my system in order to see improvement." Though each person varies, there are general ideas of what timing it's going to take to see a significant change. Like for me for example, Buspirone takes an extensive amount of time to produce a significant change in my anxiety. I do have anxious days, and probably will until a few months passes. Setraline (what I take) is an anti-depressant which also works with me to prevent my OCD. (This ocd is heightened by my clozaril) Like many doctors say, meds are a cocktail. It just takes time to find the one you work with
